I recently learned about Super Cookies and how hard they are to delete. Are there any plans to include the option to delete Super Cookies?
I know of a software program called “Security Task Manager” by Neuber Software that can delete Super Cookies so I know it can be done. I am an owner of CCleaner Pro and it would be great for you to include that removal option. Thanks.
Afaik super cookies are already cleaned and have been for years (since soon after the discovery of Super cookies.
Thanks for your reply Nergal. Good to know that Afaik super cookies are being cleaned in CCleaner. What about other super cookies such as DOM Storage, HSTS and Flash cookies? My Security Task Manager (Neuber Software) identifies these and cleans them after I’ve run my CCleaner program.
Sorry, Dajones, I was unclear AFAIK means as far as I know. All supercookies are already cleaned by ccleaner
Lol, thank you for clarifying. I have to disagree. I run CCleaner and then Security Task Manager and it always finds super cookies that Ccleaner misses.
Hi Dajones, please can you attach a screenshot, ideally with filepaths so we can investigate?
Hi Stephen. Attached are two screenshots taken this morning. Before and after running CCleaner. I hope this helps. Dave
Both screenshots are taken from the Security Task Manger program from Neuber Software.
I’ve always known there are reasons to filter and block everything proactively in advance so that these malicious websites, software and apps don’t have anything to latch on to and exploit, cool… Only wish there was a way to set-up everyone’s computers somehow, heh! xD Besides the settings, like in the screenshots, there’s a neat Windows app (& many like it, but sometimes I use this one - when I’m not setting everything it does manually :)), but it can be tricky to use; website is @ https://wpd.app/
